Association of Crane and Rigging Professionals promotes lifting equipment safety standards, improves the quality of lifting equipment training, consulting and inspection for all those who are involved in lifting and rigging activities in all industries. ACRP represents the crane and rigging industry in regulatory forums. Everyone who works around cranes and rigging benefits from ACRP by working to develop national quality standards for the training and qualification process of crane operators and those who perform rigging activities. This is being accomplished on the national levels in the US and Canada via consensus standard committees and on state levels through local organizations. ACRP is also beneficial by performing training and certifications Programs Quality Verification, which reviews developed programs prepared by professional and corporate training and certification groups. It also provides up-to-date information through national meetings, newsletters and inter-association communication briefs. This relevant and timely information will support better decisions as to what is really necessary for training and what may not be necessary.

Associated General Contractors of America for 90 years has been representing the interests of the construction industry. The AGC also provides advocacy and influence change that keeps the construction at the forefront of economic growth. AGC gives essential news and information as well as Dynamic networking opportunities keeping member "in the know" through an array of programs and events. AGC of America also provides you with access to a variety of Nationally Accredited Educational Programs, New and Innovative Products and Services, as well as industry specific publications and resources.

The Council of Owners and Construction Associates is a local Construction Users Council. Owner/User members include the major industrial and utility firms, located in Southwestern Illinois, who procure significant construction and maintenance services. Construction Associate members include construction companies, design and engineering firms, equipment and materials suppliers, and firms which provide other services necessary to insure safe, well-managed, high-quality, cost-effective construction projects in the Owner/User's facilities. COCA provides opportunities to learn what is going on in the construction industry in Southwestern Illinois. It also provides networking opportunities for the local members and contractors through periodic, professional conferences featuring locally, nationally and internationally well-known speakers. COCA also offers safety training programs, including OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety & Health and Trenching & Shoring Competent Person.

Associated Wire Rope Fabricators was formed in 1975 and incorporated the following year by a group of concerned businessmen who felt there was a need for sling fabricators and special rigging components manufacturers to join together to form a trade association. Originally created by representatives from nine companies in the United States, in two decades the organization grew to address the needs of over 400 member companies worldwide.

AWRF promotes interests common among companies manufacturing, fabricating, or distributing lifting, rigging and load securement devices made of chain, rope, and synthetic products. The association works to establish, acquire, preserve, and disseminate various technical information, and encourages the development of safety standards and programs, and product identification procedures. Assistance has been provided for establishing and maintaining adequate products liability insurance, as well as other insurance needs of the industry. Common problems and purposes of the industry, such as those involving production, distribution, service and safety are reviewed and advanced by lawful means on a regular basis.
