CornerMax™ Pads (Edge Protection)

CornerMax™ Pads (Edge Protection) Exposure of a sling to load edges or corners requires protection that is not susceptible to cutting because of touchness or zero contact. As shown in the photo, the CornerMax™ Pad forms a tunner between the load edge and the pad. This geometric separation is essential in protecting the pad itself from contacting the load edge, which provides maximum protection to the sling.

CornerMax™ Sleeve (Edge Protection)

The CornerMax™ Sleeve is the latest in rigging solutions from SLINGMAX® Solutions. The CornerMax™ Sleeve is the ideal solution to protect synthetic slings from cutting when it is not practical to use a CornerMax™ Pad, whether due to curvature of the load edge or repetitive uses such as unloading steel coils. Independent field and laboratory testing has shown the CornerMax™ Sleeve to be extremely cut resistant. The CornerMax™ Sleeve is made with Dyneema® Fiber and is proven tough. To prevent sliding, the 6" wide CornerMax™ Sleeve has been sewn down the middle (5") on each end of the Twin-Path® Extra Sling (pictured). The true benefits of this revolutionary material far outweigh the costs and now provide for the use of synthetic slings in applications previously dominated by heavy chain, mesh and wire rope slings.

Synthetic Armor™ Pads (Abrasion Protection)

Synthetic Armor Pads protect slings from abrasion damage which can be caused by contact with rough surfaces such as concrete beams and structures. They are also used to protect finished or painted loads from marring. These wear pads can be made to fit any length or width sling. They can also be made in long lengths which the customer can cut into suitable sizes on the job. Double or triple thickness provides resistance for the more severe conditions. There is no maximum width and a variety of materials are used to protect slings and to protect loads.SYNARM-SL is a sliding wear pad with sewn seams along both edges. These can be equipped with handles to provide easy mobility around the sling body. SYNARM-RM is a removable wear pad with a sewn seam on one edge and a hook-and-loop fastener along the other edge. SYNARM-EE is a wear pad that fits over both legs of an endless sling to enable it to be used like an eye-and-eye sling.

Shackle Pin Pads (Patent Pending)

The pin area of a shackle can cause synthetic slings to cut and placing synthetic slings on the pin should be avoided. Even a new shackle can have a sharp edge where the threaded pin goes through the shackle ear. If the sling is exposed to this area, it can cut and fail. The Shackle Pin Pad is the latest SLINGMAX® SOLUTION in the constant effort to ensure the ultimate rigging safety of our customers. If you must rig on the pin, protect your sling with a SLINGMAX® Pin Pad.

Magnetic Sling Protectors (Edge & Abrasion Protection)

Magnetic Sling Protectors are a solution to many of your rigging and material handling nightmares. Lightweight and easy to use, these wear protection devices enhance the service cycle of the rigging and help to "soften" edges that could damage slings. These plastic protectors attach with magnets to steel corners and keep the sling from contacting the load. For use with synthetic, wire rope and synthetic rope applications. Just snap in place and put the sling on top of the protector. This product is not for use at temperatures below negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit or above temperatures of 220 degrees Fahrenheit. The maximum loading is 12,500 PSI. Made of nylon, the Magnetic Sling Protectors are only 1/7th the weight of steel, no tools are needed since magnets allow for quick and easy attachment and removal. Available in 9-inch, 12-inch and 18-inch models.

Velcro© Wear Sleeve (Abrasion Protection)

The Velcro© Wear Sleeves can be sewn to fit any size sling width. They also can be fit for web slings to protect from abrasion damage from rough surfaces or for wire rope to protect from abrasion damage and also protect load from scratching or damaging the load surface. Sleeve can be made from Cordura© or from standard webbing. The can be made removable using velcro© or sewn as a tube. There are many different ways to make these and must be specified as time of purchase.

Eye Protection

Eye Sleeve
Eye Sleeves protect the bearing point of the eye and covers the outside of the eye to extend the life of the sling. The width and thickness of the sling as well as the length of sleeve must be specified as the time of purchase.

Eye Buffer
Eye Buffers protect the bearing point of the eye to extend the life of the sling. Can be made to line the entire eye or just bearing points of the eye.
